If you have not read Then stop right now and go read this one first!!! Otherwise you will be totally lost. I received a copy of an e-arc from Netgalley and Entangled Teen. Ascendancy by Karri Thompson This book picks up right where book one ends. Although I will say the way Mirror X ends makes you think Cassie and Michael have been recaptured.  Ascendancy is certainly action packed. Cassie and Michael are on the run trying to get back Cassie's twin daughters. They are just barely staying ahead of the opposition. Cassie continues to be lied to, and let down. She and Michael believe they are going to be reunited with their daughters in another region only to find that their daughters aren't there and no one knows where they are. They barely escape with their lives from Mia. They head back to Trail's to get help again only to find that he has been taken.  At this point they try to contact the resistance and end up with Victoria taken into hiding so that they can con

I know, I know warm and fuzzy..yeah not so much

I got a free copy of this from JellyBooks LTD. I know this month was supposed to be warm and fuzzy and this isn't the warmest or fuzziest book at all. I have seen blurbs talking about it being like Gone Girl or Girl on the train and I just can't agree with this. Is the book dark and sort of twisty, yes but not in a Gone Girl vibe and not on  Girl on train either. Tiffani Fanelli is a girl that reinvented herself, she even has dropped the Tiff and just goes by Ani and her life is pretty perfect now. She has a great career, all the right clothes and even the very right upper crust fiance. But she just isn't very happy, and we learn slowly over the course of the book the events that she is hiding in her new life. Normally I am not a spoilers kind of person and I really will go out of my avoid to them, but from here on out if you don't want to know stop reading! Tiffani (spelled funky in the book for reasoning's I still haven't grasped) is a fat unhappy cat

Last Halloween read is a twisty creepy ride!!!

Review of Dead Ringer by Jessie Rosen I received a copy of this Arc via Netgalley!!! Where to start....I mean seriously so Laura Rivers starts her first day at school to find everyone staring at her in horror. The only person who even attempts to be nice is Charlie... then she finds out the reason, everyone thinks she looks like Sarah who killed herself almost two years ago. She begins go get closer to Charlie, only to see him falling apart as someone closes in on his secrets... The book is told from three pov's Laura's, Sasha, and Charlie... Sadly I cannot say too much about Sasha other than she is on the hunt to find out what happened to Sarah.  I can say this is a dark twisty thriller that will keep the shocks coming. Honestly I hate the fact that I can't say too much with spoiling things, but I can say this Sasha messes with Charlie and his three friends once she finds out that know more about what happened the night Sarah died. Laura and Charlie have a int

Trolling through Facebook and checking in with our authors pages I ran across the following Book Warning and it was just so much win that I HAD to share it here with you all!! Warning from A Demon's Dark Embrace Warning! This book is intended for mature and adult audiences. A Demon’s Dark Embrace is the first book in The Elite Guards Series. This is a companion series to The Fae Chronicles Series; Reading The Fae Chronicles is not absolutely required to enjoy The Elite Guards Series, however you will have a much greater enjoyment of it if you do. The first book of The Fae Chronicles Series is Fighting Destiny and it can be found with reputable bo ok sellers for your convenience. A Demon’s Dark Embrace tells the behind the scenes story that the reader did not see in Seducing Destiny and then some! Just like The Fae Chronicles Series: If you prefer adorable and sparkly Fairies, Demons and Vampires…look elsewhere. This story is told in narrative format rather than the first perso

Recently I was asked who my favorite book boyfriends are and IMMEDIATELY I was like Valek and Janco from Poison Study. That author suggested I write a review of just why those two are so yummylicious and, well, how could I resist gushing to you all about how delectable Valek is and how funny Janco is. Obvi I couldn't resist and so you here for your viewing pleasure I give you Valek and Janco from Maria Snyder's Poison Study trilogy. Valek is Commander Ambrose's assassin and spymaster for the whole of Ixia (the northern country for those who haven't read the books) and he's resistant to magic. Well that's kind of misleading really it's not that he's necessarily resistant to magic so much as that he's got this permanent null shield that surrounds him and no I can't tell you why because that would give up the whole plot twist and I'm not that mean. Valek has piercing sapphire blue eyes and shoulder length curly black hair. He's describ

This book! The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent is seriously epic! I first heard about it on Twitter when a Book Blogger Friend Nancy aka @TheCharmingLass received a copy of it! When I saw the cover I knew it was love at first sight! When I finally got it from the Library and finished the first chapter I knew it was going to be epic so I tweeted Rachel Vincent to tell her I knew it was going to be epic! She responded right away and is so nice!   This is how I felt at the end of the book  It was serious! Nina’s biggest worry in the book is making to 18 so she can take care of her family because her mother the drug addict is not going too. In her world there was a war against Demons and Humans won due to the Church. The Church saved them all! So this right here makes it so different from anything I have read lately. The only thing that even comes close is Shutter by Courtney Alameda. (which is seriously awesome as well) Both books have a similar vibe and semi similar the
