It's Chloe Neill Day!!!
Chloe Neill is with us today and she has graciously answered a few of the questions that you all submitted to her.
1. Is there a chance of a spin off series that focuses on
the next generation of these characters?
I have many ideas for book series of all varieties, but
there are no concrete plans at this time. There will be 13 Chicagoland Vampires
books and at least 3 Devil's Isle books.
2: Does Merit have shifter blood in her lineage?
Nope! She was entirely human before becoming a vampire.
3: Does Mallory become an Ombusdman in this book or is
she still going to become connected to House Cadogen as discussed in House
Rules?
Mallory is not an Ombudsman employee, and she doesn't
work for Cadogan House. She does volunteer for both.
4: Midnight Marked is the second to last book in the
Chicagoland Vampire Series. How do you feel about being so close to end of
their story?
I'll begin writing the last Chicagoland Vampires novel
very soon (probably in a few weeks!), and I'll be sad when that book is
complete. But it's time for Merit to get
her happily ever after!
There you have it ladies and gentleman the answers to your top four questions. Personally I agree with Chloe Neill it's time for Merit to get her Happily Ever After. It's been a great ride so far and I'm excitedly looking forward to next week when the 12th book in the series comes out Midnight Marked. Don't be sad readers there's still one more book after this one so Ethan, Merit, Mallory and Catcher and all your favorite characters will be back for one more book!

I can't wait to read this book
ReplyDeleteAlas, the fact that I agree that it's time for Merit to get her HEA doesn't make the coming end any easier. The end of a series is always rather bittersweet. =(
ReplyDeleteEven if I agree it's about time she gets a HEA, saying goodbye to your favorite characters is always hard. The end of a series is just always bittersweet. =(
ReplyDeleteThat said, I still can't wait to read this.
I would love to read about HEA for Merit & Ethan. But I will be super sad to see them go when the series is ended. *crosses fingers for future novels maybe involving the children*
ReplyDeleteGreat questions, but Merit possibly having shifter blood was a complete surprise. It never occurred to me to think it was a possibility yet she does have that connection....
ReplyDeleteShe better get her HEA, I can't take much more after last night's X-Files!
Would love to see Methan get their HEA. Can't wait to meet the little green eyed darling that Gabriel saw in Merits future. I will be sad to see it end.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping for spin offs in the future, maybe involving all the children.
Anne the shifter angle didn't occur to us either that was a submitted question from one of our readers. Like you we were surprised they made that connection.
ReplyDeleteWith so many questions and prophecies to answer this book and the last one are going to be epic!! Can't wait :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait!! :)

ReplyDelete&hearts the answers and the questions! I am so sad (yet excited) for the end of this series! MEthan forever!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so conflicted about this latest book. On one hand I'm so happy to almost have another book in the series to read, yet this book means that the series is almost over!
ReplyDeleteI am really excited to read this book after all the teasers from this blog tour and Chloe Neill's social media pages. Yet it means that the series is almost at an end!
ReplyDeletei didn't know the series was so close to an end! that makes me feel even more behind in my reading now!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this is the penultimate book. I don't want it to end!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's almost over

ReplyDeleteI love this series and I'm sad to see it end but I can't wait for this next book!
ReplyDeleteI've not followed the news about this upcoming book mostly so I could be surprised thinking book 12 was going to finish up the series. So happily suprised that there will actually be book 13! Yay!! Although now my bookshelve will have to be reorg'd! Hehe! Lol
ReplyDeleteI haven't followed the news on this book specifically because I thought it was going to be the finale. Happily suprised to see that there will be a book 13!!yay!! Although now I'll have to reorg my Chicagoland bookshelve...he!he! LOL

ReplyDeleteI love this series. I wish it wasn't about to end.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to pretend this is the 2nd to last book and I'm slightly sad there's no immediate plans for a spin-off, but it is getting to be time too.
ReplyDeleteI think the majority of us have similar feelings when it comes to this series and it being over. I LOVE it, but I'm also very sad that it's almost over. Endings are never my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAwesome interview and thanks for the chance! :)
So excited for this book!

ReplyDeleteI love these books
ReplyDeleteI love these books
ReplyDeleteI love this series. I've devoured it since finding it last summer and now I'm terrified of it ending. Well at least I can read and reread. It's hard with the last book cuz I want to read it but I also want to save it like a precious treat. Actually, that is sometimes with each new one in a series. Sigh. I want more than one more but I understand why authors must go on and write more awesome stories. Anne
ReplyDeleteGreat interview! And thanks for the awesome giveaway! ♥
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize this was the next to last book. Oh no. I love them. At least I will be able to reread.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this series is almost over!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait! But I'm truly sad there is only one more left! :(
