Thanks to Netgalley and Minotaur Books for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review. Emily isn't really looking for anyone special the night she meets Adam. She is sure it will end up being nothing, but when he calls her a few days later she is caught up in and soon the relationship begins. Adam is perfect and soon he is an important part of her life. But everything starts to fall apart when she meets his mom. Well after she meets his mom, while at her house she sees a picture of Adam and woman named Rebecca. Emily can't get Rebecca out of her mind and soon wonders what happened to her. But soon Pammie is ruining everything. She takes every chance she can to come between Emily and Adam. Plus his brother James is always around. Soon Emily thinks about him a little too much, but she knows that it is Adam she loves and she won't let his mother ruin things for them... I have to say that about 3/4ths of the way into this I was on the verge of lowering my rating

Thank you to St.Martin's Press and Netgalley for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review.. Disclaimer this book is based on real events, continues sexual abuse and other violence. Second Disclaimer I am very sad to say that I had no idea who Sally Horner was before reading this book... Also the ending reminds me very much of I know my first name is Steven.... Heartbreaking. Sally is finishing up 5th grade when her new friends dare her to steal something from Woolworth's. The year is 1948 and when Sally is caught by a man who claims to be with the FBI she doesn't know any better so she doesn't say a word. When he tells her he has to take her away to jail for a short time she gets her mom to give her permission to go with a friend to the shore. It is only after being gone nearly a month that her mother and sister put together that something is really wrong. Once the police are involved they soon find out that Mr.Warner isn't really Mr.Warner but Fra

First, they have only one room and one bed, and when Fiona tries to find another room she learns that they hotel doesn't know who booked the room. To top it off she received a voicemail from Joe telling her to trust no one. But things go from bad to worse when she wakes up and realizes that they survived a plane crash and appear to be on a deserted island. Told between the events leading up to the plane crash and their survival on the island. We slowly begin to learn about how Fiona and Miles ended up there. So I know that is vague, but this is one of the cases where telling too much can really ruin the story. But, I want to get my complaint out of the way. It seemed really interesting and like the author was

Thank you to Netgalley and Gallery Books for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review. Brynn is a now defense attorney but a few years ago she was a young prosecutor. When her former boss is brutally murdered, Bryan and Ross decide to go to a hotel and their boss Reggie decides that they need bodyguards. Erik know that it is going to be a tough job protecting Brynn because she doesn't believe she needs a bodyguard, that is until the lead detective on the case she worked on with Jen is murdered as well. Suddenly it is a race against time to find the culprit before any more co-workers are attacked. Will Erik and Brynn be able to figure it out before it is too late? Will he be able to keep her safe? I liked this book, but I will be honest it lost me in places. I don't mind romantic suspense, sometimes I really enjoy it. This one I found to be just okay. I liked the characters for the most part. Well I really liked Brynn, I found Erik kind of blah. The plot was ex
