We are avid, obsessive readers, and if we tell you a book is good it's a given. We have books to satisfy any literary craving and we always strive to be fair and balanced in our reviews. Whatever you're looking for we've read it and reviewed it right here.
We're hard at work plotting and planning for the next two months of book reviews. Check back with us on June 4th for our June Author Karen McQuestion and her new book From a Distant Star.
Chloe Neill is with us today and she has graciously answered a few of the questions that you all submitted to her. 1. Is there a chance of a spin off series that focuses on the next generation of these characters? I have many ideas for book series of all varieties, but there are no concrete plans at this time. There will be 13 Chicagoland Vampires books and at least 3 Devil's Isle books. 2: Does Merit have shifter blood in her lineage? Nope! She was entirely human before becoming a vampire. 3: Does Mallory become an Ombusdman in this book or is she still going to become connected to House Cadogen as discussed in House Rules? Mallory is not an Ombudsman employee, and she doesn't work for Cadogan House. She does volunteer for both. 4: Midnight Marked is the second to last book in the Chicagoland Vampire Series. How do you feel about being so close to end of their story? I'll begin writing the last Chicagoland Vampires novel very soon (probably ...
Review of I See You by Clare Mackintosh Thank you to Netgalley and Berkley for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review. Zoe is a normal Londoner going about her daily business when she catches a picture in the adverts that takes her by surprise. Her picture, but she puts it out of her mind when she brings it up to her family and they aren't for sure it is her, until she sees and recognizes another picture. She then contacts Kelly and informs her of a crime and the pictures. PC Kelly is a disgraced police officer working at the BTP, while looking into theft and possible connection between Zoe, the other woman, Zoe contacts her again this time with a picture in the adverts and a recent murder. PC Kelly then takes it to the murder squad and attempts to get on the case. Zoe is getting more and more paranoid especially after she trips and almost falls in front of a train. When she sees the man who saved her twice more after the rescue she begins to feel like she is lo...
We love our fictional couples here at the Book Whisperers and we've dedicated entire blog posts to awesomeness of such couples as, Ethan and Merit (Methan) and Tamlin and Feyre (A Court of Thorns and Roses) but like most people we began our love of literary couples long before these stories existed. In honor the authors that came before us we've listed our favorite literary couples that have inspired everything from love to lust throughout the ages. Up first is Vladislav Basarab Dracul and his soulmate Mina. We'd like to thank Bram Stoker for taking this real life Romanian hero and turning him into a bloodsucking fiend of the night with a heart. Where would Ethan and Merit, Cat and Bones, Spade and Denise, be without Bram Stokers Dracula and Mina pioneering the way. If you haven't read the original Dracula by Bram Stoker then we HIGHLY encourage you to pick up that classic and read it. It's pionent and dark and moving in ways that almost defy description. You...
