Relegation by Karri Thompson

Thank you to Krutz and Ink publishing for a copy of the ARC in exchange for a fair review.

Cassie and Michael are back, they have found one of their daughters and they are on the run to Autonomy. There they hope to help get the project back on track and help save humanity. Cassie also wants to let the clones know the truth.

She also wants all of her children back as they were only able to save VM2. Cassie also has a weird reaction when she comes face to face with one of her clones. She knows that it is due to ancestral memory, that seeing herself awakening memories lost in her DNA. Cassie and Michael work together to get the program restarted and find their missing children, but most of all to create hope for the future. A future in which humanity is legitimately reborn.

I heartily recommend you start with the first book in the series, and I also will add that a reread is in order if you have read the first two. It took awhile for me to remember some of what happened in the first two books, and as a result I lost some of the connection I had with the characters from the first two books.

I did think this was a satisfying conclusion to the series. Cassie truly wanted to do right by everyone. She just didn't want to be a prisoner in order for that to happen.
