Problem Child by Victoria Helen Stone

I won a copy of this in Goodreads Giveaway. Thank you to Lake Union Publishing and Goodreads.

Jane is back and just as chilling as ever, she is working a fixing a work problem. When she gets a call from one of her brother's ex-wives. His daughter is missing, and Jane wonders why that is her problem, but when Joylene tells her that Kayla is just like her, Jane is immediately intrigued.

She makes the decision to return home to find Kayla. As her search begins we learn more about Kayla and more about what made Jane the way she is...

So much happened in this book that as much as I hate I am going to keep the recap small because otherwise I might spoil things. I would say that if you haven't read the first book please stop and go read that first otherwise you will be lost. I wasn't sure if I would like this one, but as I continued to read Jane drew me back in..

I really didn't enjoy but found myself unable to stop reading the backstory revealed by Jane about the many instances of her childhood that shaped her into the sociopath that she is. What makes her likable is her code, she messes with people just for kicks but never with good people just ones that really actually deserve it.

Kayla I wish I could say was more likable, but considering the way the book ended I think we will be seeing more of them and I can only hope that Jane gets her into shape and does something decent with her. Another great book in this series and I look forward to seeing what she writes next.
