About the book:

I’m not crazy. My mother may have died with everyone believing she was insane, but I refuse to accept that as my fate. Even if I am recalling memories about a life I never lived. A life that includes the mysterious James—a guy I’ve only just met, but feel as if I’ve known all my life. The memories are coming hard and fast, and I’m falling down a rabbit hole with consequences that far exceed anything I could have ever imagined. And now, someone is trying to kill me.

Someone from my past who knows about my visions and is looking for something he believes I took from him. All I have to do is figure out how these memories relate to the present and maybe I’ll survive to live another day.

That Darkness by Lisa Black Thank you to Netgalley for copy of this Arc in exchange for a fair review. So Maggie is a forensic investigator for the Cleveland Police Department, and she has seen a lot of bodies, but this young girl who was never reported missing sparks Maggie to leave no stone uncovered. Jack is a killer, there really is only problem with that he is also a detective with the Cleveland Police Department. He is also on the hunt for the killer of the young, but for very different reasons and his uneasy alliance with Maggie may just be the end of home. I feel like this is almost too spoilerish for me, but if you look up the book you can actually read all of that information in the synopsis so...I guess I didn't spoil anything.
