The 22 Murders of Madison May by Max Barry

Thank you to Netgally and G.P. Putnam Son's for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review.

Madison May is a realtor showing a trashy house to a client when things get weird, so weird in fact because even though she took his picture and sent it to her agency the guy still kills her. However, before he does he tells her that he has met her in other lives and she disappoints and then he has to kill her in every one he met her in.

Felicity is just a reporter who has to cover a crime story for her friend Levi, when she first learns about Madison May and that may have been the end of it all. If she didn't end up tailing a guy named Hugo who has supposedly killed his wife and ends up with a token that changes her entire life. When Felicity gets off the train tracks she finds that her coworker doesn't know who Hugo is, and things here are just a tad different. A clock is missing off her work desk and she has one less cat and Madison May isn't murdered.

Then again Madison May an aspiring actress is murdered, and Felicity finds Hugo again. She learns things about what is going and she is on a mission to save Madison May's life. If not in this world then the next.

I didn't read the synopsis going into this, but the title does kind of give some things away. So this is not my normal thriller in the sense that there is some sci-fi in this book, but it works. I loved it and I was engaged and interested the entire I read this story. I was rooting for everyone with each move and I couldn't wait to see what would happen.
