It's Chloe Neill Day!!!

Chloe Neill is with us today and she has graciously answered a few of the questions that you all submitted to her.

1. Is there a chance of a spin off series that focuses on the next generation of these characters?

I have many ideas for book series of all varieties, but there are no concrete plans at this time. There will be 13 Chicagoland Vampires books and at least 3 Devil's Isle books.

2: Does Merit have shifter blood in her lineage?

Nope! She was entirely human before becoming a vampire.

3: Does Mallory become an Ombusdman in this book or is she still going to become connected to House Cadogen as discussed in House Rules?

Mallory is not an Ombudsman employee, and she doesn't work for Cadogan House. She does volunteer for both.

4: Midnight Marked is the second to last book in the Chicagoland Vampire Series. How do you feel about being so close to end of their story?

I'll begin writing the last Chicagoland Vampires novel very soon (probably in a few weeks!), and I'll be sad when that book is complete.  But it's time for Merit to get her happily ever after!

There you have it ladies and gentleman the answers to your top four questions. Personally I agree with Chloe Neill it's time for Merit to get her Happily Ever After. It's been a great ride so far and I'm excitedly looking forward to next week when the 12th book in the series comes out Midnight Marked. Don't be sad readers there's still one more book after this one so Ethan, Merit, Mallory and Catcher and all your favorite characters will be back for one more book!

Release Date MARCH 1ST!

  1. Alas, the fact that I agree that it's time for Merit to get her HEA doesn't make the coming end any easier. The end of a series is always rather bittersweet. =(

  2. Even if I agree it's about time she gets a HEA, saying goodbye to your favorite characters is always hard. The end of a series is just always bittersweet. =(

That said, I still can't wait to read this.

  3. I would love to read about HEA for Merit & Ethan. But I will be super sad to see them go when the series is ended. *crosses fingers for future novels maybe involving the children*

  4. Great questions, but Merit possibly having shifter blood was a complete surprise. It never occurred to me to think it was a possibility yet she does have that connection....

She better get her HEA, I can't take much more after last night's X-Files!

  5. Would love to see Methan get their HEA. Can't wait to meet the little green eyed darling that Gabriel saw in Merits future. I will be sad to see it end.

I am hoping for spin offs in the future, maybe involving all the children.

  26. I think the majority of us have similar feelings when it comes to this series and it being over. I LOVE it, but I'm also very sad that it's almost over. Endings are never my favorite.

  29. I love this series. I've devoured it since finding it last summer and now I'm terrified of it ending. Well at least I can read and reread. It's hard with the last book cuz I want to read it but I also want to save it like a precious treat. Actually, that is sometimes with each new one in a series. Sigh. I want more than one more but I understand why authors must go on and write more awesome stories. Anne
