Thank you to Netgalley and Minotaur Books for a copy of the eARC in exchange in for a fair review. Disclaimer this is the 3rd book in the Gemma Monroe series. However, there won't be any spoilers. You can pick this up and read and not be lost, other than personal knowledge about some of the main characters. Gemma has been called in about a missing person, but she really doesn't think there is too much reason for worry, more than likely Sari will turn up. However, before the day ends things get weirder when a diary turns up missing for the big gala that Sari just happened to be working on before going missing from Lost Lake. Suspicion falls on Sari almost from the start, just because it she had access to the safe and disappeared just before the theft was discovered. Thank you to Netgalley and Aria for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review. Told in alternating views and between past and present. Andi is tormented by guilt and she knows that someone knows her secret and lately she has been drinking quite a bit more and not sure how to handle life in general. Camilla is going to make sure that Kyle knows the truth about his lying wife. As the days go and Andi thinks she is losing her mind, things are getting worse. Everyone knows she is drinking and her friend Carol isn't being so friendly anymore. Kyle is getting more disillusioned with the relationship and soon it will all come to a head. I wanted to love this, but to be honest I figured out the twist or had a firm idea of it long before it became clear I was right. I don't think this was a dark thriller either. It was a good slow burn of a read, and clearly filled with a lot of liars and some major miscommunication. So I am kind of in the middle of the road with this o

Thanks to Netgalley and Eye Books for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review. Chris knows when the police arrive at her door it isn't a good thing, and since Bella has been missing for a few days Chris knows this means they found her body. Everything that happens after that is a bit of a daze, and Chris more than thankful for ex, Nate who has shown up to support her. As the days go past without anyone being arrested, suspicion and gossip begin to grow out of control, but still no one really tells May (the reporter snooping around) the whole truth. Chris is struggling to be in control, but most days she is a hot mess just trying to be normal. It really isn't working and as things get uncovered Chris falls apart even more. Eventually she begins to suspect everyone, and is barely seeing anyone except her unlikely friendship with May, who has been writing a series of articles covering Bella's death and the investigation. I thought this would be more a thrill
