The Summer Before Forever by Melissa Chambers

Thank you to Entangled Teen and Netgalley for a copy of the eArc in exchange for an honest review.

Chloe is on her way to visit her Dad with her best friend Jenna, she hasn't seen him in five months and he is getting married and she is a getting a new stepbrother. She really doesn't know what to expect, but when Landon opens the door she knows there is going to be trouble.

Landon is blow away by how cute his new stepsister is, and makes a mental not to keep his distance. As the days go on, they realize they are fighting an attraction that threatens to overwhelm them. Not only that Landon is determined Chloe not find out about his learning disability.

When his tutor and life long friend Monica confronts Chloe about it, and Chloe begins to understand how serious it is, will they be able to figure it out? Will their parent's wedding stop their budding love affair, and will Landon realize that just because he has dyscalculia doesn't make him less of a person?

Okay I will say what I don't like sort of, I am slowly coming around to the whole stepbrother romance thing, but in thought it just seems a lot icky to me. Kind of one of those things you feel guilty for liking. That's my own hangup though and for the most part this didn't really make me feel that icky. They weren't raised together, when they meet they are already 18 and almost 17, and it does strike a chord that you can't always fight how you feel about someone.

Now that being said this was a super fun, light, easy read with just enough seriousness to make it a great read! I actually had not heard of dyscalculia until I read this book, so I loved learning about that particular disability and how it affects people who have it. I totally loved how his family, Chloe, and Monica all come together to make him realize that the disability doesn't have to hold him back.

Landon and Chloe together are a super cute couple, and watching them fall in love was just what I needed today! If you are looking for one more fun summer read than look no further!
