Wild Hunger

Wild Hunger is the first in a spin off series from The Chicagoland Vampires. Wild Hunger picks up with the children of the main characters and this first book centers on Merit and Ethan's daughter. 

While Merit and Ethan never get around to that Paris honeymoon in the original series their daughter is living/studying/working there. 

Right from page one you know there's something wrong. Elisa, living and studying abroad in Paris, doesn't want to go home to Chicago. It's not her parents she's avoiding and yet you get the impression that's part of it. 

In this newest spin-off readers will get to see all of our old favorite characters from Chicagoland Vampires in supporting roles. We'll also get to see how their children turned out as this new series, aptly named Heirs of Chicagoland, focuses on them and some surprising offspring of some of the other characters from the first series. 

Wild Hunger definitely lived up to the standards that we've come to expect as readers of Chloe Neill's books and of Urban Fantasy in general. 

I'm a tad bit salty over some of the children's characters but that's a GOOD THING! As a reader I don't want all of the angst to be resolved by the end of the book..there needs to be something bringing me back for the second book and WOW does Wild Hunger deliver on that. 

If you were a fan of the Chicagoland Vampire's character, theme, and story line then you'll be very pleased with this newest series "Heirs of Chicagoland".
